Job summary

Advanced Energy, located in Littlehampton, UK, is seeking a hands-on electronics assembly professional. The role focuses on building high-voltage power supply units from basic drawings, performing PCB assembly, wiring loom creation, and final assemblies.

You will modify builds from schematic diagrams, document changes, and maintain quality and safety standards while collaborating with design and CAD teams. Familiarity with SAP MRP and basic software tools will be essential.

Qualifications

• Two years electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to train other AE employees.
• Intermediate computer knowledge including AE systems and Microsoft applications.
• Proficient in SAP transactions, iPro, TPDs and DMRs.

Responsibilities

• Build units to basic drawings/instructions, including soldering, wiring loom creation, PCB assembly, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• Modify/rework of build and PCBA’s from marked up schematic diagrams and drawings.
• Document development notes, corrective actions, BOM changes and drawing amendments accurately.
• Communicate openly and professionally; work with team to meet production schedules.
• Maintain safety and quality processes and 5S standards.
• Use SAP MRP system for manufacturing processes and digital documentation.

Job description

Assembly and prototyping of electronic components, sub-assemblies and unit builds of high voltage power supplies. Developing the product to meet project schedules and performance standards for NPI, from design concept to complete manufacturing readiness. Works in collaboration with design and CAD engineering receiving direction and guidance daily as duties may vary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build of units to basic drawings/instructions, including soldering skills, wiring loom creation, PCB assembly, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• Modification/rework of build and PCBA’s from marked up schematic diagrams and drawings.
• Documents development notes, corrections actions, BOM changes and drawing amendments accurately.
• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.
• Maintains flexibility and adapts within a team environment.
• Ensures all safety and quality processes and procedures are strictly followed.
• Utilization of SAP MRP system and applying standard manufacturing processes.
• Documentation using basic PC programs. (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.).
• Maintains ESD best practices and 5S standards.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Works under limited supervision.

• Expected to train other employees in established processes.
• Works with Engineering to create clear production build information.
• Initiates and contributes to corrective actions.
• Key knowledge holder of multiple product platforms.

• Aids with training other AE employees.
• Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE systems and tools as well as Microsoft applications.
• Proficient in core SAP transactions, iPro, TPD’s and DMR’s
• Minimum of two years electro-mechanical assembly (or equivalent).
