Aspiring Youth Worker - Restorative Practice - Mental Health - Education and Training - Ideal role for a Psychology/Criminology graduate with sincere aspirations within Criminal Justice and Probation – Woking
This role focuses on working in a challenging school setting for boys with trauma and mental health needs, starting around May 25 depending on your availability. It is suitable for those motivated to work with vulnerable young people at risk of offending, with career progression opportunities towards probation, youth offending teams, and youth counseling.

The role offers £88+ per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. It is a Learning Support Assistant position designed to build foundational experience in a specialized environment where empathy and pragmatic approaches are essential. You will learn to focus on the holistic and therapeutic aspects of education, including restorative practices and positive reinforcement, supporting students with EHCPs and SEMH needs. While behaviour management is part of the role, academic skills to enhance attainment across areas like maths and English are equally important. The school also offers vocational subjects such as computing, hairdressing, PE, and performing arts.
