As a SEMH Teaching Assistant/ Aspiring Youth Offending Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs, helping them access education, regulate their emotions, and stay engaged with learning.

  • Pastoral or Safeguarding Officer

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours in both 1:1 and small group settings
  • Implementing behavioural strategies and interventions in partnership with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff
  • Helping young people build emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social skills
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams-including social workers, psychologists, and education welfare officers-to ensure holistic support
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment that encourages learning, reflection, and personal growth

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent criminology, psychology, or social sciences graduate, or someone with a strong interest in youth justice, education and training.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient mindset with a genuine passion for making a difference
  • A desire to build a long-term career supporting vulnerable young people in either educational or therapeutic settings
  • Some previous experience (formal or informal) with young people is helpful, but full training will be provided
  • Able to commute to Luton and work full-time during term time
