Job summary

EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream secondary school in Newham to recruit two Teaching Assistants for the Speech, Language and Communication provision. The roles are ideal for graduates aiming to pursue Speech and Language Therapy or related fields.

You will support students 1-2-1 and in small groups, with training provided from day one; hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, term-time only, at £108–£115 per day. ASAP starts and a long-term contract are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1; subject not a barrier.
• Strong A-Levels and GCSEs, including English.
• Experience supporting children or adolescents essential.
• Passion for helping young people with barriers to learning; warm personality.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Assistant – supporting various needs and language targets (SLT).
• Monday to Friday – no weekends.
• School hours typically 8:30am–4:00pm.
