Apply today! This Special Educational Needs School in Leatherhead caters to children aged 4-16 with severe learning difficulties (SLD). Most have speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), and an Autism diagnosis.
This school is looking for a passionate and committed Graduate / Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will support a small class of 7-10 students, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver interventions aimed at enhancing learning, development, and language acquisition.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, and other professionals, delivering interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs in small groups and 1:1. You will make a meaningful difference in children’s lives and gain vital experience to start your future career.
Job role and responsibilities include:
Experience is not required, but candidates should demonstrate an interest in working with children with SEN.
Start date: September 2024
Training and support: Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding.
Salary: £90 - £110 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-3.30pm, term time only
