The successful Mental Health Assistant will join a team that prioritizes caring for and including all students. You will be part of a positive, supportive environment where staff share the common goal of maximizing student potential.
The children at this school have various learning difficulties, including some with ASD. They require a supportive and positive individual to facilitate a safe and engaging learning environment. The role involves supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals, and encouraging independence.
You will also support the classroom teacher by helping to prepare lessons, manage classroom activities, and assist with outdoor activities such as PE and outdoor learning.
