You will have the advantage of joining a positive environment with a supportive team of staff who all share the same goal of ensuring their students are getting the most out of their education.

The role:

The children at this school are in need of an individual who can provide support to them in their day to day duties. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be helping these children reach their academic and personal goals by encouraging involvement in the classroom and in addition become independent learners.

Your day to day as an Autism Support Assistant will not only be supporting the students but also the class teacher. You will help to ensure the classroom runs smoothly. This will entail helping to set up for lessons, clear up after lessons and assist with outdoor activities such as PE or any outdoor learning.

The successful Mental Health Assistant:

As a successful Mental Health Assistant you will have experience working with a classroom setting or with children who struggle with learning difficulties. A positive attitude is most necessary as well as a passion to make a difference.

This is a great opportunity for psychology graduates looking to expand on their experience working with children, or aspiring educational psychologists or ASD Specialists.
