We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support children with moderate learning difficulties and associated behaviours. No previous experience is required. Interviews are now taking place.

The School: Aspiring Psychologist

This school is located in Farnham and caters to up to 150 children aged 4-19, who require a specialised curriculum to help them thrive and reach their full potential. The school features a Therapy Department, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, making it an ideal environment for aspiring Speech and Language Therapists.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with other professionals, gain relevant experience, and expand your knowledge and skillset. It provides essential experience in a challenging yet rewarding setting, with career progression routes to roles such as SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology pathways.

Job Role and Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering the learning experience of students
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support
  • Build effective relationships with students
  • Apply a practical approach to meet individual student needs
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure safeguarding of students
  • Attend staff meetings and complete relevant CPD

Start date: ASAP. Trial days will be arranged to ensure the role and school are suitable for you.

Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding of all students.

Salary: £85-£90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only.

No previous experience is required. If you hold a Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree, this role is a great way to utilise your degree.

You must have the right to work in the UK to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.
