Job summary

North Hampshire Urgent Care (TalkPlus) is seeking a High Intensity Trainee CBT Therapist to join the NHS Talking Therapies service. The role blends clinical practice with academic study, with a BABCP-accredited Level 2 High Intensity CBT course at the University of Reading, while delivering high-intensity CBT to adults in the service.

The post involves two university days and three clinical days weekly, including an out-of-hours clinic, within a diverse patient group and a commitment to equality

Qualifications

• Assess referrals for suitability for High Intensity CBT.
• Deliver evidence-based CBT to adults with anxiety/depression.
• Develop, implement and review treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and contribute to data collection.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and support stepped-care pathways.
• Attend and complete the University of Reading training programme.

Responsibilities

• Refer or escalate as needed following protocols.
• Provide high-intensity CBT as part of NHS Talking Therapies.
• Participate in supervision and CPD activities.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in care delivery.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
