Job summary

Academics in Cheltenham is seeking a committed Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school as soon as possible. The role provides hands-on classroom experience for graduates aiming to work in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or child development.

You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, assist with planning and delivering lessons, and help build confidence and engagement.

Qualifications

• A graduate with a genuine passion for working with children.
• A degree in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related subject is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in 1:1 and small group settings.
