Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Educational Psychologist

Work with: classes of 6-8 based on ability

Salary: £460 - £500 per week

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 15:30

Location: Kempston, Bedfordshire

Responsibilities of an Aspiring Educational Psychologist:

  1. Working alongside well-trained specialists in the SEN team.
  2. You will be required to assist with students' academic development, encouraging learners to achieve.
  3. Pupils from the ages of 4-19 years old could have a variety of mild to moderate Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
  4. You will become a positive, consistent role model in the lives of your specific pupils.
  5. You will form relationships with teachers, parents, and the pupils.

Requirements:

  1. An undergraduate degree (preferable) and/or prior experience in SEN - ideal for Criminology and Psychology graduates.
  2. A strong interest in mental health and Autism.
  3. Knowledge of or a keen interest in learning and behavioral needs, particularly SEMH.
  4. Ability to commute to Kempston.
