Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is seeking an apprentice to train on the job in childcare, gaining hands-on experience and formal qualifications. The role includes working with a childcare team, maintaining a safe environment, and attending paid Saturday training days and occasional weekend events.

You will progress through personalised development pathways with internal training and opportunities to transfer within the Cherubs Nurseries group. 30 hours per week plus supply cover.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards childcare qualifications.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• DBS check and references required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for children and families.
• Ensure the environment is safe, secure and clean at all times.
• Be a role model for the children at all times.
• Pursue your childcare qualification and complete coursework on schedule.
• Assist in planning and delivering indoor and outdoor activities to support development.
• Build friendly but professional relationships with parents, staff and suppliers.
• Attend staff events, parents evenings, and training sessions (some on weekends).
• Attend 3 paid Saturday Training Days each year and participate in annual nursery fundraising.
