Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in the UK is offering an apprenticeship in childcare at Cherubs Bingham, opening March 2026. You will join the childcare team, gain hands-on experience, and work 30 hours per week with occasional supply.

This role supports a community-focused, family-run group committed to developing staff through personalised professional development and internal training. You will help keep environments safe, plan activities, attend events, and complete your childcare qualification, with paid

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
• Ensure the children's environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
• Be a role model for the children at all times.
• Work towards your qualification in childcare, ensuring all targets are met and you are always up to date with any assigned coursework.
• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children's interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
• Establish and maintain friendly but professional relationships with all parents, staff and suppliers.
• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings, summer fairs and training - some of these may be out of working hours and on weekends.
• As part of this role, you will be required to attend 3 paid Saturday Training Days every year (January, May and September) along with an annual fundraising event for your nursery that also takes place on a Saturday.
