Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Psychology graduate to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialist school in Maidenhead. You will support pupils with emotional, behavioural and mental health needs, alongside therapists and SEN specialists.

The role offers term-time, Mon-Fri days with daily pay of £108 to £115, and extensive training and resources through Milk Education.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Youth & Community Work, or related fields.
• Non-graduates with relevant experience in youth work, mentoring, or social care are also encouraged to apply.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach with ability to de‑escalate challenging situations.

About the Role

Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career as a Clinical Psychologist? Join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialist school that supports pupils with a range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs. You'll work alongside therapists, educational psychologists, and SEN specialists, gaining invaluable practical experience in mental health and therapeutic education.

What We're Looking For

• Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Youth & Community Work, or related fields.
• Non-graduates with relevant experience in youth work, mentoring, or social care are also encouraged to apply.
• A strong interest in working with young people who are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

• Experience (voluntary or paid) with vulnerable young people, SEMH, or youth offending (desirable but not essential—full training provided).
