SEN Clinical Teaching Assistant - Daily Responsibilities


  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and medical conditions

  • Implement therapy or intervention plans created by clinicians such as Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or Educational Psychologists

  • Support students in developing communication, sensory regulation, and social interaction skills

  • Assist with personal care, feeding, or mobility needs when required

  • Monitor and track student progress, noting behavioural or emotional changes

  • Create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, clinical teams, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Help prepare and adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles

  • Support the development of life skills, independence, and self-regulation

  • Attend daily briefings, EHCP meetings, and professional training sessions as needed


Ideal Candidates Will Have


  • A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
