Qualifications

• Has experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Is passionate about education and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Has strong classroom management skills or is willing to develop them.
• Holds a degree or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum (where appropriate).
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and school events.
