We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Supervisor based at Cragmill Quarry in Northumberland. You will support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Plant, including production management, troubleshooting, and coordination with other departments. An awareness of the time-critical nature of the process and downstream activities is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Quarry Manager with safe and efficient operation and management of the Asphalt Plant.
• Assist with production management, troubleshoot technical problems, and oversee planning and coordination with other departments.
• Demonstrate leadership in safety; conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections as required.
• Perform administrative duties such as writing reports, updating records, procurement, and budget control.
• Plan and organise work in a time-efficient manner.
• Engage with candidates and the ideal background includes experience in the asphalt industry, with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Safety is a key element of the role; conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and demonstrate leadership in safety.
