Job Description:

I am working with an innovative start-up that is looking for Digital Design Engineers of all experience levels to join their team in Cambridge. Do you want to use your processor knowledge to build an efficient CPU micro-architecture for a power-efficient AI accelerator? We are seeking a talented individual capable of defining key hardware components of CPUs and designing them.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with multi-site hardware and architecture teams.

Backed by a South Korean tech giant, this start-up is well-funded and plans to grow steadily over the next two years. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in development and shaping the company's future roadmap.

Successful applicants will join the team to define the microarchitecture specifications of VPU and design hardware.

Essential skills for this role include:

  1. Good knowledge of microprocessor architecture with 3+ years of direct experience in areas such as:
  2. CPU microarchitecture
  3. Load/store, cache, and memory subsystems
  4. VPUs
  5. Excellent SystemVerilog/Verilog experience
  6. Knowledge of high-performance and low-power microarchitecture techniques and trade-offs
  7. Low power design techniques
  8. Scripting in Python (plus)

This role suits an engineer who is self-motivated and enjoys technical challenges, particularly in a start-up environment. You will have the opportunity to work on clean-sheet design and be pivotal in the company's success and growth.

Compensation package includes industry-leading healthcare, a bonus scheme, pension, and education reimbursement for professional development.
