Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking an analyst for the Asia desk to cover South Asia, South-east Asia, and East Asia, coordinating with in-house colleagues and external experts. The role requires producing 2-3 macro-focused briefs weekly and daily shorter analyses to support the OADB view.

Candidates should hold an MA/PhD with regional Asia knowledge, work well under deadlines, and demonstrate strong English writing and editing skills for diverse formats.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of at least one region within Asia, its politics, economy and international relations.
• MA or PhD in a relevant field with regional focus.
• Experience working under strict daily deadlines and with a rigorous editorial process.

Responsibilities

• Commission and edit briefs on a range of Asian states, publishing 2-3 briefs per week.
• Write shorter pieces of analysis daily that advance the OADB view.
