Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or SMT Level 3 to join the Aseptic Services team. The role involves aseptic production, supervision, and ensuring GMP-compliant processes for cytotoxic and CIVAS items, including PN preparation for neonatal and paediatric patients.

The post requires experience in hospital pharmacy aseptic services, strong attention to detail, and the ability to train and supervise staff within a busy team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council or Science Council.
• Commitment to undertake in-house training and GMP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day aseptic services and products.
• Supervise preparation activities in designated area.
• Maintain aseptic facilities, equipment and stock checks.
• Generate documentation for product preparation and maintain SOP compliance.
