Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester is seeking a Band 2/3 Pharmacy Services assistant to aseptically prepare, assemble and dispense medicines under supervision. You will work to written guidelines and procedures, support daily production targets and maintain a safe, clean aseptic environment.

No prior experience is necessary for Band 2; comprehensive training will be provided. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent is preferred; opportunities for progression

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or accepted equivalent.
• Ability to document information clearly and accurately.
• Willingness to learn aseptic procedures and work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trays containing consumables and ingredients for 1st stage checks.
• Perform transfer sanitisation using isopropyl alcohol and other disinfectants and be responsible for cleaning equipment and areas.
• Rotate through other areas of the department (assembly, worksheet and labels) following procedures and documenting clearly.
