Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to assist in the safe and accurate dispensing of oral cytotoxic medicines and outsourced pre-prepared medications using the JAC system. The role supports receipt and checking of deliveries and reports discrepancies promptly.

Under supervision of registered pharmacists, you will follow SOPs, GMP, COSHH, and trust policies to maintain high standards of patient care and pharmacy services within the aseptic unit.

Qualifications

• Experience with safe dispensing of medicines and accuracy checks.
• Familiarity with aseptic procedures and handling of Cytotoxic/oncology medicines is desirable.
• Ability to follow SOPs, GMP and COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and maintain accurate documentation for aseptic services.
• Undertake stock management: receipt, storage, stock checks, FEFO, date checks, reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with aseptic preparation and material assembly; ensure proper hand hygiene and infection control.
