Job summary

Pulse Healthcare Limited in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist (Band 7/8a) to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy team. The role focuses on aseptic services, safe preparation, QA, and governance of aseptically prepared medicines.

You will work with pharmacy production and multidisciplinary teams to support service development and maintain high patient safety standards, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Significant NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
• Substantial experience working within aseptic services.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and QA principles.
• Experience supporting pharmacy production and medicines governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist pharmaceutical support to aseptic services and pharmacy production units.
• Ensure the safe preparation and release of aseptically prepared products.
• Support compliance with GMP and QA standards.
• Provide expert advice on aseptic preparation, risk management, and medicines governance.
• Contribute to validation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and wider healthcare teams.
• Support the implementation of standard operating procedures and service developments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
