Job Title: ASD Teacher (Working with Autism)
Location: Newham
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced and dedicated ASD Teacher ready to make a significant difference in the lives of students with Autism? GSL Education is seeking an empathetic and adaptable teacher to join a fantastic specialist school in Newham.

The School:
Located in a well-connected area of Newham, this SEN school supports pupils with visual, sensory, and complex learning needs. The environment is purpose-built with both therapeutic and academic spaces to allow learners to thrive. With an experienced staff body and supportive leadership, the school provides the ideal setting to teach pupils with Autism in a nurturing and structured atmosphere.

Main Duties:

Plan and deliver Functional and differentiated lessons for learners with ASD.

Work closely with Teaching Assistants to manage behaviours and support students.

Use a child-centred approach to develop emotional and social wellbeing alongside academic learning.

Ensure pupils' EHCP goals are consistently met and reviewed.

Implement structured routines and clear communication strategies.

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Experience teaching students with Autism and SEN in a school setting.

Ability to lead a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom.

Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding protocols.

Passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
