In this rewarding ASD Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student based on their care plan. Your expertise as an ASD Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, through sensory based learning, whilst providing students with a comprehensive curriculum focused on the need for a sensory approach to learning and the motivation for each of the students needs.
The School
The successful ASD Teacher applicant would be joining a long-standing SEN school Bromley for children with complex learning needs. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 4-14 years, who have severe learning differences and all have a diagnosis of autism. There is a focus on child-centred learning, and staff are trained in specialist communication methods such makaton, PECS and communication books, as well as working alongside a focus on growing independence as they move through the school.
