Remedy Education is seeking a patient and enthusiastic ASD Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist school in Greenwich. This role involves supporting students on the autism spectrum within a structured and nurturing educational environment.
Role Overview:
As an ASD Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them engage with learning, develop social and communication skills, and build confidence in a safe and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and group support for students with ASD, including those who are non-verbal
Help implement individualised learning plans tailored to sensory and communication needs
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Assist with personal care where required
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create an inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working in a school or SEN setting (essential)
Understanding of Autism and associated behaviours
Calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach
Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
Team player with good communication skills
