Job summary

SGS is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to carry out surveys and sampling at client sites across the UK, providing accurate, practical advice to help clients manage asbestos risks and meet legal and safety responsibilities. Most initial work is on domestic properties.

The ideal candidate holds an RSPH Level 3 in Asbestos Surveying or a P402 qualification, with a Full UK Driving Licence and at least 6 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying or P402 qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence for use in the UK
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos surveys, safely sample suspect materials, and accurately record findings in line with job instructions and internal procedures.
• Assess identified asbestos risks, advise clients on appropriate removal or safe management, and provide ongoing support to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams, ensuring effective communication, timely reporting, and resolution of any on-site issues.

Join SGS as an Asbestos Surveyor, carrying out asbestos surveys and sampling at client sites across the UK. You’ll provide accurate, practical advice to help clients manage asbestos risks and meet their legal and safety responsibilities. Be advised most of the initial work is to work on domestic properties

You'll be confident working independently, travelling to and working on client sites; assessing asbestos risks and providing practical, compliant advice with a professional approach

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification
• Full Driving License for use in the UK
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying
