Job summary

Lucion seeks a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst for field-based work in the South-West, with the Cardiff office as a base. You will perform comprehensive asbestos surveying and inspection, air monitoring, and data collection using a phablet, feeding NexGen reports to support safe, compliant decisions.

Ideal candidates hold BOHS P402/P403/P404 or RSPH certificates, with knowledge of HSG248/HSG264 and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404, or RSPH equivalents, or a Certificate of Competence.
• Knowledge of HSG248 (Analysts' Guide) and HSG264 (Survey Guide).
• Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out asbestos surveying and inspection (management, refurbishment, demolition, asbestos in ground).
• Undertake air monitoring and counting of airborne fibres.
• Inspect contractors' remediation work and complete 4-stage clearance, signing off compliant works.
• Collect accurate site data using a phablet and feed into NexGen reports.
• Work in line with asbestos legislation and guidance (HSG248/HSG264).
• Maintain QHSE documentation and internal assurance processes.
• Provide professional client service and clear specialist advice when needed.

We're currently looking for a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team. This is a field-based role, but we are looking for someone in the South-West, with our office being in Cardiff.

What You'll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

This is a varied, hands-on role where your expertise directly supports safer buildings and better decision-making.

You’ll

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection, including management, refurbishment, demolition, and asbestos in the ground
• Undertake air monitoring and airborne fibre counting
• Inspect contractors' remediation work and complete 4-stage clearance, signing off compliant works (or challenging them when they're not right)
• Collect accurate site data using a phablet device, feeding directly into high-quality reports via our award-winning NexGen system
• Work in line with all relevant asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264
• Maintain your own QHSE documentation and comply with internal assurance processes
• Provide a professional, approachable service to clients - answering queries and offering clear, specialist advice when needed

You Probably

• Hold BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalents, or a Certificate of Competence
• Have a working knowledge of HSG248 (The Analysts' Guide) and HSG264 (The Survey Guide)
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence
• Are comfortable travelling and working flexibly when required
• Work well independently but value being part of a close, professional team
• Bring a strong work ethic and a practical, intuitive approach to site work

You're dependable, professional, and confident in your technical judgement.
