Overview

Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Glasgow, Central Belt of Scotland
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a UKAS accredited Asbestos outfit. They are looking for a switched-on Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team in Scotland. Applicants must be able to confidently undertake the full range of asbestos surveys and analytical duties, across a range of client premises. Due to the strong reputation of the company, it is essential that applicants have a strong work history and professional manner. The successful candidate can expect attractive salaries and benefits packages, which include: pension scheme, overtime opportunities, annual leave allowance and company vehicle.

The role will involve travel across: Glasgow, Cambuslang, Barrhead, Paisley, Renfrew, Clydebank, Dumbarton, Johnstone, Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Kilsyth, Cumbernauld, Coatbridge, Airdrie, Shotts, Falkirk, Denny, Carluke, Larkhall, Strathaven, Kilmarnock, Galston, Kilwinning, Ardrossan, Irvine, Troon, Ayr, Cumnock, Moffatt, Douglas, Lockerbie, Dumfries, Annan, Gretna.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
  • 4 stage clearances
  • Completing personal, reassurance, leak, smoke and background air testing
  • Compiling findings to complete regular reports
  • Meeting clients to discuss findings and provide tailored technical advice
  • Wearing correct PPE at all times
  • Collecting samples from site
  • Working on a variety of asbestos removals projects
  • Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
Experience / Qualifications
  • Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
  • Good track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
  • Ideally will have worked within a UKAS accredited company
  • Working knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
  • Proficient in using software to complete reports
  • Good literacy and numeracy level
