Job summary

Element Materials Technology Ltd. is hiring an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to join our team on a nuclear decommissioning site at Trawsfynydd in North Wales. You will perform surveys, air monitoring, and reporting to UKAS standards.

The role requires BOHS P403/404/402 or equivalent, strong H&S knowledge, and the ability to work independently and flexibly on client sites. A full UK driving licence and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • BOHS P403/404/402 certification or equivalent.
  • Experience conducting Certificate of Reoccupation, Certificate of Cleanliness and Air Monitoring.
  • Experience of technical reviewing asbestos reports and air monitoring documents.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and UKAS practices.
  • Knowledge of current asbestos industry trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with deadlines met with minimal supervision.
  • Logical, structured approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident with strong interpersonal skills and ability to self-manage.
  • Flexible attitude and a full UK driving licence.

Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our growing team working on a nuclear decommissioning site at Trawsfynydd in North Wales. Our asbestos teams are experts in their field of conducting Asbestos Surveys, Analytical Services, Asbestos Management as well as many other environmental services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a challenging asbestos environment within a global materials testing business.

Responsibilities
  • Representing Element in a professional manner at all times.
  • Conducting Certificate of Reoccupation, Certificate of Cleanliness and all Air Monitoring activities.
  • Carrying out reinspection and all survey activities, Collating and producing sampling information, reports, site plans and any other documentation relevant to activities undertaken
  • Ensuring quality policies and procedures are adhered to facilitate maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation.
  • Participating in internal quality assurance audit programme and external proficiency schemes
  • Remaining up to date with asbestos legislation and industry best practice.
  • Maintaining relevant qualification to operate within the asbestos industry.
  • Supporting the business by working flexibly from Element offices or from client sites as required.
Skills / Qualifications
  • As a minimum, applicant should possess BOHS P403/P404 & P402 or equivalent
  • Experience conducting Certificate of Reoccupation, Certificate of Cleanliness and all Air Monitoring activities
  • Experience of technical reviewing of asbestos reports and air monitoring documentation
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and legislative guidance in relation to asbestos UKAS accredited practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge and awareness of current trends and developments in the asbestos industry.
