Job summary

Franks Portlock Ltd. is a UKAS-accredited asbestos and environmental testing consultancy with offices across the UK. We are seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to conduct surveys, write reports, and liaise with clients while maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance.

You will perform site walkthroughs, create detailed survey plans, and ensure accuracy in all reports and samples. A valid UK driving licence is essential; BOHS P402/P403/P404 certificates are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• For the Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst role, BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404 certificates or equivalent are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in asbestos surveying and air monitoring.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential; a company car will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out asbestos surveys, including management and refurbishment/demolition surveys.
• Create reports in line with scope of works.
• Build and maintain customer relations.
• Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients.
• Conduct site walkthroughs and survey planning.
• Ensure plans and samples correspond and reports are accurate.

Franks Portlock is a UKAS accredited, leading asbestos consultancy company, specialising in asbestos and environmental testing, asbestos surveys, and consultancy. We have over a decade of experience in asbestos surveying, sample analysis, air testing, four stage clearance testing, and have expanded rapidly over the past few years.

We are UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and 17020 with offices based in London, Midlands, the North East and North West of England and Rosyth.

The Role

Your main responsibilities as an Asbestos Surveyor will be to undertake all branches of surveying and analytical works
You will be responsible for

• Carrying out asbestos surveys, management and refurbishment and demolition-type surveys
• Creating reports in line with scope of works
• Building and maintaining customer relations
• Representing the company well at all times and in interactions with clients
• Conducting site walkthroughs and survey plans
• Provide accurate information in reports and ensure plans and samples correspond

As an Asbestos Surveyor you will…

• Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
• Be flexible in your approach to working hours

• Be competent in literacy and numeracy to construct accurate reports

Essential qualifications and experience
