Job summary

Lucion is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to join our Hazardous Materials team around Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This is a field-based, full-time role covering commercial buildings, construction projects and public sector estates.

You will perform management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, collect accurate site data, produce high-quality NexGen reports, and ensure compliance with HSG264 and related guidance.

Qualifications

• Hold BOHS P402 or an RSPH equivalent qualification, or a Certificate of Competence.
• Good knowledge of HSG264 (The Survey Guide).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, plus asbestos in the ground).
• Travel across Market Harborough, Leicestershire and surrounding areas to client sites.
• Collect accurate factual and numerical site data using a phablet, producing high-quality NexGen reports.
• Ensure compliance with asbestos legislation and guidance including HSG264 and HSE requirements.
• Maintain QHSE documentation and follow internal assurance processes.
• Provide professional, clear advice and interpretation to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and contractors.

We're now looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to join our growing Hazardous Materials team, based around Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

This is a proper hands‑on surveying role. You'll be out and about across Market Harborough, Leicestershire and the surrounding area, working on everything from commercial buildings and construction projects to public sector estates and other client sites.

Your attention to detail will directly support safer buildings, better decision‑making and compliant project delivery.

You’ll:

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection, including Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, plus asbestos in the ground.
• Travel across Market Harborough, Leicestershire and the surrounding areas to visit client sites.
• Collect accurate factual and numerical site data using a phablet device, producing high quality reports through our award winning NexGen system.
• Work in line with all relevant asbestos legislation and guidance, including HSG264, HSE requirements and construction regulations.
• Maintain your personal QHSE documentation and follow our internal assurance processes.
• Provide a professional, friendly service to clients, answering questions and offering clear advice and interpretation where needed.
• Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues and contractors - because good surveying is more about collecting samples.
• Deliver accurate, consistent work without taking shortcuts.

You understand that asbestos surveying comes with responsibility - and you take that responsibility seriously.

You’ll ideally:

• Hold BOHS P402, an RSPH equivalent qualification, or a Certificate of Competence.
• Have a good working knowledge of HSG264 (The Survey Guide).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Be based in or around Market Harborough, Leicestershire or the surrounding areas.
• Be comfortable travelling across Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands, and occasionally further afield.
• Be flexible when occasional out‑of‑hours work is required.
• Be confident working independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
• Bring a strong work ethic and a practical, professional approach to site work.
• Be someone clients and colleagues can rely on.
