Job summary

Tetra Consulting in Manchester is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to carry out asbestos inspections, surveys and sampling in line with our Quality Manual and current legislation. The position is field-based in Manchester with a salary up to £38,000 plus a car allowance, and requires travel to client sites.

Key qualifications include BOHS P402, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 or higher in building surveys and bulk sampling for asbestos is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Flexible and have an excellent work ethic.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team.
• Must be prepared to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Asbestos Management & Refurbishment surveys and re-inspections.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final client documents.
• Provide recommendations for remedial works.

The Role

We are looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to undertake asbestos inspections, surveys and sampling other associated activity of the company in accordance with the Quality Manual, Site and Technical Procedures and associated legislation and guidance.

• Location: Field based in Manchester
• Salary: Up to £38,000 plus car allowance

Duties include:

• Undertaking Asbestos Management & Refurbishment surveys and re-inspections
• Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers
• Providing recommendations for remedial works

Skills and Experience Required

• British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P402 – ‘Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos as a minimum
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
• Flexible, and have an excellent work ethic
• Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Must be prepared to travel
