Job Title: Asbestos Project Manager

Salary: Up to £45,000 plus bonus

We are working with a well-established, UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Manager to become an integral part of their expanding team. This role involves overseeing a diverse range of asbestos related projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering exceptional service to clients across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage asbestos projects from initial survey through to remediation across housing and commercial sectors, overseeing all stages including desktop reviews, site assessments, scheduling, action planning, and ensuring timely, within-budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement asbestos management plans, ensuring continuous compliance with regulations and effective risk mitigation.
- Coordinate and oversee air monitoring and clearances, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and results are accurate.
- Represent the company at client meetings, discussing project requirements, progress, and addressing any concerns.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, logs, and records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Follow up on sales enquiries, manage quotations, and assist in converting leads into contracts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, attend pre-bid meetings, and contribute to enhancing service delivery.
- Provide site coverage by performing surveying or analytical tasks as needed, ensuring projects remain on track during staff absence, holidays or peak periods.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate:
- Holds BOHS P402, P403, and P404 (or equivalent). P405 is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing asbestos projects across housing and commercial sectors, including conducting desktop reviews, site assessments, scheduling, and action planning.
- Possess a strong understanding of UKAS and HSG guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Exhibit a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Maintain flexibility to travel nationwide, attending various client offices and multiple sites as required.
- Showcase strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst, conducting management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys, as well as air monitoring and clearance testing.
- Exhibit a willingness to take on extra tasks as needed; this is a hands-on role where everyone pitches in to support the team.
