Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a laboratory analyst to perform asbestos identification analysis in accordance with current HSE guidance and BS/EN ISO 17025:2005. You will assist management to ensure compliance with Lab 30 2015.

The role requires BOHS P401 certification and involves testing bulk samples, maintaining the fume cabinet, ensuring proper airflow, and securely storing samples for six months. Flexible start times available.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical work to identify asbestos in accordance with HSE guidance.
• Test bulk samples in line with HSE HSG 248.
• Store samples securely for 6 months in a retrievable location.
• Maintain fume cabinet and laboratory cleanliness.
• Ensure correct air flow of the cabinet.
• Record daily work allocations.
• Book in all suspected asbestos-containing samples.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by management.
