Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Bulk Laboratory Analyst to join its Worthing laboratory. This role focuses on bulk asbestos analysis within a UKAS-accredited lab, with flexible hours, structured career progression and a supportive environment.

The position involves analyzing samples per UKAS/HSE guidance, accurately recording results, maintaining quality systems, calibrating equipment as required, and supporting the team to meet turnaround times with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 (essential).
• Previous experience as a Bulk Asbestos Analyst.
• Experience in a UKAS-accredited laboratory preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, reliable and quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Analysing bulk asbestos samples in accordance with UKAS and HSE guidance.
• Accurately recording and reporting analytical results.
• Maintaining laboratory quality standards and procedures.
• Ensuring laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated where required.
• Supporting the wider laboratory team with daily operations.
• Working efficiently to meet turnaround times while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
