General Responsibilities:

To succeed in this role, candidates should develop a good understanding of Minnesota asbestos, lead, and industrial hygiene regulations and have an interest in becoming experts in this field. Our work with large and small commercial clients, oil and gas companies, local governments, healthcare, and educational institutions provides opportunities to build lasting relationships by delivering responsive and resourceful solutions.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Sample suspect asbestos-containing building materials following AHERA guidelines and perform visual inspections for asbestos during site visits.
  2. Oversee and conduct air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects.
  3. Perform complex field tasks and special inspections under the supervision of a staff professional.
  4. Assist with industrial hygiene tasks such as mold inspections, lead-based paint sampling, and noise monitoring.
  5. Coordinate with analytical laboratories and review sample results.
  6. Adhere to safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with at least 1 year of related experience, or a minimum of 5 years' related experience if lacking a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certifications and Experience:
  • Certifications relevant to the field of expertise.
  • Experience in the general construction industry.

The expected salary range for this position is between $55,900 and $78,200, with adjustments based on location, qualifications, and experience.
