About the Repairs and Investment Service:
The Repairs and Investment service within the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate plays a pivotal role in delivering responsive repairs, capital works, and comprehensive safety and compliance services to over 25,000 Council tenants and leaseholders.With around 80,000 repairs carried out annually and a capital programme of approximately £30m this year, we deliver these services through a combination of in-house teams and external contractors.
As one of London's largest social landlords, the safety of our tenants and staff is our number one priority.To maintain and enhance this commitment, we have created a new Compliance team that will provide clear focus and ownership of safety and compliance across the borough.
The Role: Asbestos Delivery Manager
We are looking for a qualified, experienced, and professional Asbestos Delivery Manager to join our team.You will not only be an expert in asbestos management but also understand the importance of structured processes and effective management in ensuring the safety of our residents and buildings.
In this role, you will act as the Competent Person for all asbestos-related matters, overseeing the delivery of asbestos services across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.This includes embedding and maintaining robust processes and procedures across our in-house teams and supply chain, as well as leading the delivery of asbestos surveys, removal works, and keeping our asbestos register up-to-date.
