Job summary

SGS United Kingdom Limited is seeking an Asbestos Consultant to join our environmental team. The role covers client sites across the UK, delivering asbestos surveys and consultancy with strict compliance. You will work Monday–Friday, 40 hours, with locations listed (West Midlands, Shropshire, Yorkshire, Peterborough, Worcestershire).

A valid UK driving license and asbestos qualifications are required. Salary from £35,000 per annum plus a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying or P402 Qualification required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in asbestos surveying.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos surveys, safely sample suspect materials, and accurately record findings in line with job instructions and internal procedures.
• Assess identified asbestos risks, advise clients on removal or safe management, and provide ongoing support to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams, ensuring effective communication, timely reporting, and resolution of any on-site issues.
