Asbestos Bulk and Laboratory Analyst Cardiff £24,000 - £28,000

Are you a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst who wants to further your career and work at an ambitious consultancy providing a wide range of solutions in the environmental sector across the UK?

My client is a UK-based consultancy looking to add an Asbestos Lab Analyst to their growing team. The successful analyst will assist in analysing asbestos samples and will receive training at every step.

Requirements as an Asbestos Bulk and Laboratory Analyst:

• Laboratory experience of 1 year
• P401 qualification
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Preferably at least 2 years' experience in asbestos sample analysis
• Relevant experience in asbestos bulk analysis

Responsibilities:

• Undertake analysis of bulk samples for asbestos presence in accordance with UKAS accreditation and HSG248
• Perform general lab duties and maintain cleanliness
• Follow health and safety regulations and good practices
• Receive training on microscope analysis to P401 standards
• Use in-house database systems
• Prepare sample kits
• Liaise with clients and report issues to managers
