Job summary

Riverside Environmental Services is recruiting a Bulk Analyst to perform asbestos bulk sample analysis in a UKAS‑accredited laboratory. You will generate accurate reports and ensure compliance with UKAS and HSG248 guidelines from a central lab operation serving clients across the UK.

You will work closely with surveyors and analysts, maintaining strict quality standards, documentation and a safe working environment. BOHS P401 qualification and lab experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 qualification required.
• Experience in an asbestos laboratory environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good IT and report-writing skills.
• Understanding of UKAS standards and asbestos regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples using approved laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Accurately identify asbestos-containing materials and produce detailed analytical reports.
• Ensure all laboratory work complies with UKAS requirements and HSG248 guidance.
• Maintain accurate records and laboratory documentation.
• Support quality control processes and participate in internal audits.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and keep a clean, safe working environment.
• Prioritise workloads to meet client deadlines and business requirements.
• Collaborate with surveyors, analysts and the wider operations team.
