Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services working across the full project lifecycle worldwide. We have a wide range of expertise across our teams, providing a global support network with a personalised approach to client relationships to better understand where we can add value. We provide a collaborative environment that supports individual performance, innovation, and creativity.
We support public and private sector clients on local, national, and international projects to deliver sustainable and resilient solutions. Our operations in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands include more than 6,000 employees who are Leading with Science® to solve our clients’ most complex problems.
Turn your interest in science, buildings and the environment into a specialist technical career. Join Tetra Tech’s established Asset Management team and combine hands‑on engineering experience with a Level 3 apprenticeship, specialist training and the opportunity to make a real difference to building safety.
Develop the technical expertise to identify, assess and manage asbestos‑related risks across a diverse range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties. Combining structured learning with practical site experience, you’ll work alongside experienced consultants across London, the South East and wider UK, including historic buildings and complex industrial environments.
No degree or previous asbestos experience is required. You’ll receive expert mentoring and specialist training to build your knowledge, confidence and competence.
Help protect building users, employees, contractors and the public by developing the skills to undertake asbestos surveys, air monitoring and analytical work. As your experience grows, you’ll take on greater responsibility, working towards independent practice through successful training, competence assessments and internal authorisation within Tetra Tech’s UKAS‑accredited systems.
You’re someone who prefers being out on site rather than behind a desk, and you’re comfortable working in environments like construction, demolition, or industrial settings. Early starts, travel, and changing locations don’t put you off — in fact, you enjoy the variety and the sense of purpose that comes with hands‑on work.
You take safety seriously and understand the importance of following procedures properly. Working to strict rules, method statements, and risk assessments feels natural to you, and you don’t cut corners. You’re calm, focused, and able to stay composed even in regulated environments where inspections, audits, or oversight are part of the job.
You’re practical by nature and learn best by doing. Repetition and routine don’t bother you — you see them as part of building consistency and getting things right every time. You’re comfortable using equipment, following technical processes, and working in PPE or RPE for extended periods when required.
You can work independently once trained, taking responsibility for your tasks, but you also communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors to make sure work is completed safely and correctly. You’re motivated by doing work that matters — contributing to environmental safety, compliance, and protecting public health.
You value clear expectations, stability, and progression. You’re interested in building a long‑term career, developing your skills step by step, and moving forward into roles such as surveyor or analyst over time.
Please note: You must be 18+ due to the nature of the working environment
Please note: This role may be subject to background or security checks
Please note: A full UK driving licence is required for this role
