Job summary

Your Housing Group in Liverpool is seeking an experienced ASB & Legal Officer to cover the Liverpool area. You will investigate anti-social behaviour reports, manage cases, and work with Local Authorities, Police and safeguarding teams to deliver outcomes that protect customers and communities.

You will receive comprehensive training from an external ASB training provider and have opportunities for career progression within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current Housing Legislation and Tenancy Enforcement (Anti-Social Behaviour, crime and disorder).
• Experience with legal processes: witness statements, court applications, collaboration with legal providers.

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced ASB & Legal Officer to join our team to provide regional cover in the Liverpool area and provide an excellent service to our customers.

What will my working week look like?

You will work closely with customers to investigate, determine appropriate actions, manage and resolve cases, and work with a wide range of external stakeholders (local government, Police, Community Safety and Safeguarding Teams), liaising on behalf of both the customer and the Group.

You will live within a reasonable commutable distance to be able to cover your patch and avoid excess travel and have access to your own vehicle.

You will also visit our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will work closely with customers to investigate reports of anti-social behaviour and legal matters, determine appropriate courses of action, and manage cases through to resolution.

You will work in partnership with a wide range of external stakeholders, legal providers, including Local Authorities, Police, Community Safety Partnerships, and Safeguarding Teams, acting on behalf of both the customer and YHG to deliver positive outcomes while maintaining excellent case management standards.

To be a successful as an ASB & Legal Officer , here at YHG, you will have…. A good level of knowledge of current Housing Legislation and Tenancy Enforcement (Anti-Social Behaviour, crime and disorder), Experience of legal processes i.e. preparation of witness statements, court applications, working in conjunction with legal providers and court attendance.

Experience of and management of a wide range of community safety services, including investigating, managing and resolving a diverse range of cases including tenancy breaches and Anti-Social Behaviour.
