Salary based on FTE £24,673.57 per annum with actual salary £23,802.36
Hours: Up to 50 hours per week (to include evenings and some weekends), term time plus 12 days
Contract: Permanent

Benenden School is seeking an inspiring, enthusiastic and skilled Artist in Residence to support the work of the Art and Creative Technologies department.
The position of Artist in Residence is an exciting and varied role. You will have the chance to work within our extensive and well provisioned studios, developing your own practice and sharing it with our enthusiastic students through tutorials, lessons and lectures.
Our commitment to involvement within the wider community provides a platform for participation in projects, making links with local schools and organisations about joint activities and events. You will also be able to develop your own creative skills by delivering workshops and curating exhibitions.
Many of our students go on to study Art and Architecture as well as other Creative Futures worldwide and this allows scope for ambitious and advanced work. Across all ages our students are motivated and keen to learn.
This exciting role will suit someone wishing to gain experience of curatorship, working with young people, community work and event organisation. You will need a good degree in Art and Design (or a related field), and experience of exhibiting artwork.
Single accommodation will be provided. Flexibility is required, exact hours to be agreed with your line manager. Meals are provided whilst on duty.
