Job summary

Benefits include free food on shift and a pension scheme. The position is full-time, 45 hours per week, typically five days with one weekend day, in on-site bakeries across the region.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' professional bakery experience.
• Bread and viennoiserie preferred.
• Knowledge of dough fermentation, lamination and baking science.
• Food Handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Comfortable with early mornings and standing long periods.
• Strong reading, numerical and verbal communication skills; a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings to recipe and production schedule.
• Operate ovens, mixers, proofer, sheeters safely.
• Shape, proof, bake breads, rolls, croissants, Danishes and tarts to brand standard.
• Monitor oven temperatures and times, adjust as needed.
• Decorate pastries to brand standard.
• Keep production logs and ingredient tracking up to date.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and allergen-control procedures.
• Collaborate with Pick & Pack, Stores, Technical and front-of-house on specials.
