The successful candidate will play an integral role in arthroplasty patients' journey and pathway from pre-operative assessment to post-operative follow-up. The candidate will also have an educational role for both patients and colleagues.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality, effective arthroplasty services, managing an identified caseload with a degree of personal and professional autonomy.
- Provide professional advice and support to ensure safe, effective care for patients undergoing lower limb arthroplasty.
- Deliver patient-focused care, acting as a role model across the specialty and Trust.
- Serve as a source of expertise, advice, and knowledge for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate an efficient patient pathway.
- Work within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to facilitate evidence-based care throughout all aspects of the lower limb arthroplasty pathway.
- Support planning and scheduling of HVLC arthroplasty theatre lists.
- Lead the Joint Review Follow-Up Clinic and contribute to its development and modernization to meet current and future needs.

Person Specification
Education, Qualification, and Training
- Recognised Teaching and Assessing Qualification
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP)
- Degree in a related field
- Masters in a related subject
- Completion of management and leadership programmes
- MSc, PGDip, or PGCert in Enhanced Clinical Practice or willingness to undertake
Experience
- Orthopaedic or AHP experience
- High-level clinical skills
- Experience in change management
- Experience working within MDT settings
- Knowledge of clinical examination, history taking, pharmacology, and pathophysiology

- Excellent communication skills in English
