- Focal point for all aspects of cost accounting within AB-UK
- Liaison with associated UK cost Centres for cost accounting management needs
- Manage the preparation of status deliverables and reports
- Lead in routine engagement with external auditors for the preparation and filing of reports and return to Companies House
- Preparation of Monthly Finance meetings and reports
- Preparation of Quarterly Shareholder Board Meeting Cost Accounting elements
- Routine management of Tools and Processes to enable effective cost accounting.
- Honest and Integrity: display sound judgement and decision making in relation to cost management and auditing,
- Analytical thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate and make sense of complex financial problems
- Organisation and Planning: Demonstrate proven financial planning and accounting exceution and the ability to use accounting tools. Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years cost-accounting experience in defence, although applicants with extensive PM history in an adjacent industry will be considered.
- Educated to at least degree level in a relevant discipline - essential
- PMQ certified, for example PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma - essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, risk management tools and earned value methodologies - essential
- Experience of working within multi-national companies - highly desirable
- Membership of an industry related professional body - desirable
- Colloquial German – a bonus
- A willingness to travel, both within the UK and abroad, sometimes at short notice.
