Job summary

Cedars Upper School is seeking an Art Technician to provide technical and practical support to the Art Department, ensuring high-quality lesson delivery and engaging workshops. The role supports teaching and learning to raise attainment, aligns with our School Improvement Plan, and requires safeguarding commitment.

We offer full training and induction, with 30 hours per week during term time plus five training days.

Qualifications

  • Provide technical and practical support to the Art Department to ensure smooth delivery of lessons.
  • Support effective teaching and learning to help raise student attainment and achievement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and participating in school improvement plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with materials, equipment and environments for Art lessons.
  • Maintain workshop safety and organisation to enable productive learning.
  • Contribute to the delivery of workshops and practical activities.

Contract Type: Permanent/Term Time only + 5 Training Days

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: NJC L2 pts 4-5 £17672-£17951

We are seeking to appoint a committed Art Technician to provide technical and practical support to the Art Department, ensuring the smooth delivery of lessons and workshops. By supporting effective teaching and learning, the technician enriches the educational experience for all, helping to enhance student attainment and achievement while aligning with the School Improvement Plan and the school's ethos, aims, and vision.
