A leading independent boarding school in Cold Ash seeks an Art Technician to support art lessons and workshops with practical assistance. The role requires creativity, organization, and a passion for art. The successful candidate will manage materials, assist in exhibitions, and must have the right to work in the UK. Part time, 31 hours per week, term time only (34 weeks per year plus 5.6 weeks holiday pay). The working pattern can be flexible to suit the candidate but there will be some requirement to work evening/weekends on occasion to support the needs of the department. Salary Range: £21,500 - £24,605 FTE, pro-rata salary £13,535.07 - £15,489.79 per annum.
We are seeking an Art Technician to join our vibrant and creative Art Department. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will provide practical and organisational support for lessons and workshops, prepare materials, assist with displays and exhibitions, and help ensure that the Art Department is a safe, inspiring, and well-resourced space for our pupils.
The successful candidate will be creative, organised, and adaptable, with strong communication and IT skills. An enthusiasm for Art and education is essential, while previous experience in a similar role or an Art-related qualification would be an advantage. This role could also suit a practicing artist looking for regular work to fit around their own practice.
