Aspire People are recruiting for an Art Technician to join a welcoming Cardiff secondary school with an immediate start available. You will prepare materials, support teachers, and help deliver engaging practical lessons in a busy Art department.

This full-time, long-term role offers a pay rate of £16.11 per hour, plus a £100 sign-up bonus after 20 days of work and access to holiday pay and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school, college, art department, or creative environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of art materials, equipment and classroom safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise, and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment for lessons.

Are you creative, organised, and passionate about supporting the delivery of Art within a secondary school setting? Aspire People are currently recruiting for an Art Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Cardiff with an immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a busy Art department, helping teachers deliver engaging practical lessons while ensuring resources, equipment, and displays are prepared to a high standard.

The Role

• Immediate start available

• Support teachers with practical classroom activities and demonstrations

• Monitor stock levels and order materials when required
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within workshops and classrooms
• Support the preparation of exhibitions, displays, and school events
• Carry out basic maintenance of specialist art equipment and resources

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a school, college, art department, or creative environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of art materials, equipment, and classroom safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is desirable or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning
